The first volume of The Troubled Arroyo Presidency dealt with constitutional issues arising from the start of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's term until August 2006. This volume is simply a collection of essays written by the author after the period until June 2010 when her presidency ended. Like the previous volume, however, it does not focus on the President herself but on the events that happened during her presidency. Nor is it a complete account of those years.
This is now the fifth in a series titled A Living Constitution. Earlier volumes dealt with the presidencies of Cory Aquino, Fidel Ramos, Joseph Estrada, and the first part of the Gloria Arroyo presidency.
