In particular, this book is dedicated to the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers. Known as the OFWs, they are a special group who make the supreme sacrifice of leaving their families to earn a living in distant shores. They are the new heroes of the Philippine Economy. They bring in the needed foreign exchange to boost the economy.

Many OFWs come back with hardly enough money to retire comfortably after their many years of hardship. Worse, they end up with just the same or even less than what they had when they first left. Many have perhaps been mistreated and many more have been ill advised particularly with regard to the money they have earned.
